Biography
Leonard Steinbach is a technology and strategic-planning consultant to museums and other cultural organizations. He also serves as technology manager for the French Regional American Museum Exchange (FRAME), a consortium of 24 French and American museums, and teaches “The Business of Museums” for the Johns Hopkins University Graduate Program in Museum Studies. Steinbach has been a technology manager for more than 25 years, spanning CIO positions at the Cleveland Museum of Art and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City, as well as leadership positions in academia and health care. The recently published “Digital Museum: A Think Guide” includes his essay on return on investment. He has been president of Museum Computer Network, was named one of the CIOs of the Year for Northeast Ohio in 2005, and serves on the boards of several cultural institutions
