President plugs creativity
From Barack Obama’s address to Congress last night:
“The answers to our problems don’t lie beyond our reach. They exist in our laboratories and our universities, in our fields and our factories, in the imaginations of our entrepreneurs and the pride of the hardest-working people on Earth.”
And in our studios and rehearsal halls.

“And in our studios and rehearsal halls.”
I didn’t hear him say that. In fact if there were a significant economic impact to community arts such as job creation for folks other than waiters, cab drivers and executive directors of not for profits, there would be more that $50million nationally or the NEA in the Stimulus Plan and there would NOT be $158 Million for the Smithsonian.
