Creative Nerve
Someone now owns a bit of creativity
Breakthrough!
A little one. So little, you’ll probably snort and inhale your coffee, but it feels important to me: Somebody finally bought something from The Geniocity Shop on this site.
And it only took six months. Six long, terrifying months in which I secretly suspected the store software of not working right (yes, we tested it, as if that made a dent in my paranoia) and worried that visitors thought the pretty pictures I’d posted were just to decorate the pages. Half a year of feeling hexed.
But now that someone has actually purchased a one-of-kind pair of Mary Lou Sneyd’s lovely handmade earrings, I know 1) that the process works, and 2) I probably won’t be able to breathe properly until another someone plunks down plastic for something else.
So while I’m turning blue, I’ll distract myself from incipient asphyxiation by working to find lots more artists and inventors whose stuff is so creatively cool that no one will be able to resist buying it (assuming they have anything to buy it with, thank you World Economic Collapse).
Forget hyacinths – buy art to feed your soul. Oh, and you’re allowed some bread and peanut butter, too.

Congratulations, Carolyn. May this little snowball start an avalanche of business.
