We win the Cold War, but unfettered free markets don’t lead to prosperity and peace.  We sanctify property, but we find property rights don’t promote productivity.  Nature Biotechnology reports that a new survey shows scientists consider the proliferation of intellectual property protection to have a strongly negative effect on research.
